Welcome to MJS Curated Events. I’m Marlisa, and I personally design every event with intention, creativity, and care. I believe exceptional events are felt in the details, the flow, and those moments that make you pause and say wow. From concept to execution, I create seamless, thoughtfully curated experiences that feel effortless, elevated, and unforgettable. My goal is simple: to bring your vision to life in a way that feels personal, polished, and truly memorable.

My Story

Event planning has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started helping plan events at just ten years old, coordinating church gatherings and community Thanksgiving dinners. As I grew older, that passion expanded into planning and coordinating a variety of college events, each one strengthening my love for bringing people together through meaningful experiences.

Growing up, I worked closely with my mother to create imaginative birthday celebrations every year of my childhood. From backyard carnivals and movie theater parties to mall scavenger hunts, creativity was always at the center of how we celebrated. Those moments shaped how I see events today, not just as gatherings, but as experiences meant to be remembered.

As an adult, I continue that same spirit of creativity through elevated, intentional events. I design destination birthday celebrations, interactive customized at-home murder mystery parties, and immersive experiences tailored to each client. I also collaborate with a local university to plan and execute large-scale events, including a 500+ guest Match Day celebration for graduating medical students, as well as annual retreats.

MJS Curated Events was created to bring together my lifelong passion for creativity, my attention to detail, and my love for hosting. My goal is to bring thoughtful design, seamless logistics, and unforgettable experiences to my community, all while making every event feel personal, polished, and truly special.
